The climax in her life came with the clear and distinct call from the Lord to engage in mission work as a teacher. She lift for Cali, Colombia in July, 1968. The stay, however, was not long. Due to illness she had to leave Cali on May 13, 1969.

She was predeceased by her parents. She leaves to mourn her parting three sisters and their husbands, Mrs. Lydia Dyck, of Vancouver, Mrs. Lora Byler of Maryland, U.S., and Mrs. Joan Janzen of Burnaby, B.C.; five nieces and three nephews; and many relatives and friends.
