Mrs. Goerzen was born in Fuerstenwerder, South Russia in 1884 and in 1904 married Henry Goerzen. They emigrated to Canada in 1926 and there took up residence in Coaldale. The last 18 months Mrs. Goerzen enjoyed the  comfort and fellowship of Christian friends in the Coaldale Home-for-the-Aged. She was predeceased by her husband in 1965 and prior to that by two sons and a daughter.
