Retired Farmer Died at Berne

Berne, Ind. — Funeral services for Gideon Sprunger, 85, well known retired farmer here, were held at the First Mennonite church on Sept. 7. Rev. Olin A. Krehbiel, the pastor, officiated.

Mr. Sprunger died suddenly the afternoon of Sept. 4 in the back yard of his home.

He was a brother of the late Rev. Joel Sprunger of Kansas, and was the last surviving member of a family of seven sisters and two brother. His second wife, the former Emma Sprunger, four children, 11 grand-children and three great grandchildren survive.
