She was born in Silberfeld, South Russia, on February 5, 1897, and in 1920 was married to Peter I. Berg. God blessed their union with a daughter, Nettie, and another who joined the family at the age of two. In 1925 they emigrated to Canada. They lived in Dalmeny, Sask., until 1936 and then moved to Coaldale, Alberta. In 1961, Mrs. Berg's husband predeceased her.
