She was born on November 16, 19 was baptized upon confession of faith and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1921 she was married to Cornelius Klassen, and in 1926, they with their three children, migrated to Canada. They spent nine years in Coulter, Manitoba, 24 in the Boissevain district, and in 1960 they moved to Brandon.
