text of obituary:
Miss Mary Ellenberger, daughter of Jacob and Marie Ellenberger, was born at West Point, Iowa, February 12, 1859, and passed away Saturday morning, January 7, in the home of Mrs. Christ Ellenberger in West Point.
She was baptized by Rev. John Krehbiel and joined the Mennonite church at West Point in 1873. Later when the Mennonite church was discontinued Miss Ellenberger transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church of West point of which she was a faithful member, and also a member of the Ladies Aid Society until failing health prevented her from attending services regularly. For the past four or five years she had made her home with her widowed sister-in-law, Mrs. Christ Ellenberger.
Funeral services were held at the West Point Presbyterian church Monday, January 9, at 2:00 o'clock, preceded by a short service at the home. Rev. E. R. Mitchell of West point and Rev. A. Friesen of Donnellson officiated. The body was laid to rest in the city cemetery.
