— Rev. A. J. Dyck, pastor of the Hoffnungsau church at Inman, while in Newton on business Tuesday reported that the week just past was an unusually busy one for the church. During that week joy and sorrow were quite thoroughly intermingled. On Tuesday, May 15, was the funeral of Bernhard V. Adrian, 27 years of age, who died as the result of a bad tumor. Later, on Thursday, funeral services were held from Mrs. Ben P. Martens. She was married but a little more than one year, her illness being leakage of the heart.
