● Henry A. Goering, 87, retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Moundridge community, died at Bethel Hospital here on Aug. 9. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Eden Mennonite Church with Rev. Walter Neufeld officiating. Mr. Goering leaves his widow, the former Lydia Stuckey; five sons, Rev. Roland of Hillsboro, Wilbert, Harley and Vernon, all of Moundridge, and Howard of Peabody; seven daughters, Mrs. Dan. W. Goering of McPherson, Mrs. Warren Swanson of Burns, Mrs. David Thiessen of Peabody, Mrs. Harold Schmidt of Newton, Mrs. Reuben Schrag of Little River, Mrs. Richard Regier of Burrton, and Mrs. Leslie Thiessen of Moundridge, two sisters, Mrs. Sol Krehbiel of Moundridge and Miss Anna Goering of Newton; 34 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. | |||
