— Funeral services were held at the Bestvater homestead in Highland township Tuesday afternoon for Miss Katherine Bestvater, who passed away that Saturday at Bethel Deaconess hospital from injuries sustained when trampled by a cow on Aug. 16. She was born in Russia Oct. 27, 1887, and had lived at the same farm since 1893. Surviving are three sisters, Mary, Helen and Agatha, of the home; and three brothers, Henry of the home, Ab H. of Canton, and john of Highland township. The services were in charge of Rev. J. E. Entz, with burial in Highland cemetery. She was a member of the First Mennonite church of Newton. | |||
