Mr. Neufeld was born on November 28, 1876 in Alexanderkrone, South Russia. He reached the age of 89 year, four months and nine days. He was baptized in his youth and became a member of the United Mennonite Church at Kalinowo, Memrick. He was married to Maria Mierau on February 13, 1903. God blessed this marriage with eleven children of whom two sons and three daughters died during childhood.

During his "Forsteidienst" Mr. Neufeld found faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and in 1909 he and h1s wife joined the Alliance Church in L1chtfelde. They came to Canada in 1926 and settled at Dalmeny, Sask. and later at Watrous.

In 1928 Mr. Neufeld was ordained a deacon and served in this capacity until age forced him to retire. In 1942 the family moved to Virgil, Ontario, where they celebrated their silver and golden wedd1ng anniversaries. Mrs. Neufeld predeceased him on November 25, 1958.

He leaves to mourn four daughters, two sons, four sons-in-law, two daughters~in-law, 26 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

JOHANN J. NEUFELD

Funeral services were held in the Virgil (Ont) Church on April 9 for Johann J. Neufeld of Niagara-on-the Lake, Ontario, who passed away April 6. Rev. John G. Baerg officiated.

Mr. Neufeld was born on November 28, 1876 in Alexanderkrone, South Russia. He reached the age of 89 year, four months and nine days. He was baptized in his youth and became a member of the United Mennonite Church at Kalinowo, Memrick. He was married to Maria Mierau on February 13, 1903. God blessed this marriage with eleven children of whom two sons and three daughters died during childhood.
