&#9679; Funeral services for John H. Regier, 88, of Route 3, Newton, were held Monday afternoon at the Zion Mennonite Church, Elbing, of which he was a member. Rev. Harold Graber, the pastor, officiated. Mr. Regier died unexpectedly Thursday evening, Nov. 7. He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of the Elbing area. His wife, the former Justina Harder, died in 1919. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Albert Busenitz of rural Peabody, Mrs. Martin Graber of Pretty Prairie, and Mrs. Gerhard Jantzen of rural Peabody; one brother, Bernard R. of Route 3, Newton; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
