Freeman, S. D. — Funeral services were held at the Hutterthal church on May 4 for Mrs. David M. Waldner, one of the pioneer settlers in this part of South Dakota and the last surviving member of her family. She passed away at the home of her son, David Waldner, at the age of 86. | |||
Mr. and Mrs. Waldner pioneered in what is known as the Spink and Beadle settlement near here, being the first family to move there. | |||

EARLY S. D. SETTLER DIED AT AGE 86
Freeman, S. D. — Funeral services were held at the Hutterthal church on May 4 for Mrs. David M. Waldner, one of the pioneer settlers in this part of South Dakota and the last surviving member of her family. She passed away at the home of her son, David Waldner, at the age of 86.
Mr. and Mrs. Waldner pioneered in what is known as the Spink and Beadle settlement near here, being the first family to move there.
