Min. Alva J. Wengard, aged 52 years, was born near Bunker Hill, Holmes county, Ohio, and died while unloading coal at the Ohio Boxboard Co. in Rittzman, Ohio, Friday, Feb. 2.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Wengard: five daughters, Mrs. John Schloneger of Louisville, Ohio, Mrs. Paul Lehman of Embarrass, Minn., Mrs. Aldus Nussbaum of Dalton, Ohio, Mrs. Willis Foth of Harrisonburg, Va. and Miss Carol at home; three sons, Alva Jr. of North Lawrence, Ohio, Rev. Robert of Massillon, R. D., and Blaine at home, and two adopted children, Betty and Joseph at home.

He also leaves two brothers, Eli of Fredericksburg, Ohio, and Martin of Millersburg, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Chas. Ballman of Breman, In., Mrs. Emory Hostetler and Mrs. Lloyd Stutzman of Fentress, Va., Mrs. Chas. Concle of New Bedford, Ohio; and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 6, at the Pleasant View Mennonite church, Bishop D. D. Miller officiating.

The Wengards moved to the vicinity of East Greenville, Stark county, Ohio about 20 years ago and to their present home near Sippo about 10 years ago.

ALVA J. WENGARD

Min. Alva J. Wengard, aged 52 years, was born near Bunker Hill, Holmes county, Ohio, and died while unloading coal at the Ohio Boxboard Co. in Rittzman, Ohio, Friday, Feb. 2.
