Pennsylvania Young Man Meets Death In Fall From Silo
BENUEL STOLTZFUS, 21, WAS HELPING BUILD STRUCTURE NEAR BIRD-IN-HAND
Lancaster, Pa. — Funeral services were held at the Millwood Mennonite church at Gap on Thursday forenoon, June 12, for Benuel Stoltzfus, 21, who passed away on June 9 at Lancaster General hospital as a result of injuries sustained the same day in a fall from a silo.
The cause of the young man’s fall was not determined, although it was assumed he lost his footing or stumbled while working alone on the construction of a silo at the David Beiler farm near Bird-in-Hand. He fell 25 feet to the ground and passed away about five hours later without regaining consciousness.
Survivors include the parents, five sisters and six brothers.
