Bro. Bontrager had served faithfully in the office of deacon for the past 25 years, having replaced his father, Daniel E. Bontrager in that capacity upon the father’s death.

Deacon of Kansas District Called

Haven, Kansas. — Harry D. Bontrager, 61, deacon of the North Haven Amish church district, died suddenly of a heart attack the morning of Nov. 8. He was helping his son Eli with the morning chores when stricken, and passed away immediately.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Nov. 11, at his home.

Bro. Bontrager had served faithfully in the office of deacon for the past 25 years, having replaced his father, Daniel E. Bontrager in that capacity upon the father’s death.
