Nampa, Idaho. — Kermit Aaron Landes, 37, of Route 2, Meridian, Idaho was fatally injured Nov. 2 when his dump truck missed a turn on the Mann Creek grade 14 miles south of Weiser, Idaho and hit a stone wall. He died en route to a Weiser hospital, state police officers said.

Mr. Landes, a farmer and trucker, had been using his truck on highway construction work near Midvale and was en route to his home when the accident occurred.

He was born March 21, 1913, at Canton, Kansas and was a member of the Mennonite church. He lived in Kansas until 1928, when he moved to Colorado and married Florence Miller, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. L. C. Miller of Colorado Springs. They moved to Meridian in 1946.

Surviving are his wife, Florence, a daughter Mary and two sons, Keith and Eddie; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Landes of Colorado Springs; and a brother Ellsworth of Denver.

Funeral services were to be held on Monday. Nov. 6.

Fatally Injured in Truck Accident

FARMER, TRUCKER OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO LEAVES 3 CHILDREN

Nampa, Idaho. — Kermit Aaron Landes, 37, of Route 2, Meridian, Idaho was fatally injured Nov. 2 when his dump truck missed a turn on the Mann Creek grade 14 miles south of Weiser, Idaho and hit a stone wall. He died en route to a Weiser hospital, state police officers said.

Mr. Landes, a farmer and trucker, had been using his truck on highway construction work near Midvale and was en route to his home when the accident occurred.
