On Monday, William Yoder, 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elva Yoder of north of Topeka, was fatally injured when the bicycle he was riding was struck from the rear by a car. Funeral services took place Wednesday afternoon, August 21, at the Topeka Mennonite church. | |||
Wednesday afternoon the 14-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Uriah U. Miller of the Clearspring district somehow got into the stock tank and was drowned. Mr. Miller was working around the barn when the child was suddenly missed, and the body was found in the tank. The child is survived by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Joni P. Miller home with Pre. Dan Beachy and Bishop Jacob S. Miller in charge. | |||
On Friday evening, Andrew K. Weirich, 64, drowned in Shore Lake north of here. He was out in a boat fishing and since he was alone, it is not known how the tragedy occurred. | |||

THREE ACCIDENTAL DEATHS IN NORTHERN INDIANA MENNONITE COMMUNITIES
Topeka, Ind. — Two drownings and one traffic accident took a toll of three lives in Lagrange county last counties last [sic] week.
On Monday, William Yoder, 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elva Yoder of north of Topeka, was fatally injured when the bicycle he was riding was struck from the rear by a car. Funeral services took place Wednesday afternoon, August 21, at the Topeka Mennonite church.
