Nappanee, Ind. — Funeral services were held at the John W. Yoder home near here on July 16 for Eli J. Mast, the three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Mast who was fatally injured when struck by a car several days earlier.

The child and his sister Mary were playing near a bridge while the parents worked in a nearby mint field. An approaching car frightened them and they ran out on the road, the car hitting the little boy.

THREE-YEAR-OLD RUNS INTO CAR'S PATH

Nappanee, Ind. — Funeral services were held at the John W. Yoder home near here on July 16 for Eli J. Mast, the three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Mast who was fatally injured when struck by a car several days earlier.

The child and his sister Mary were playing near a bridge while the parents worked in a nearby mint field. An approaching car frightened them and they ran out on the road, the car hitting the little boy.
