Only a few weeks before, on Nov. 9, the aged brothers had observed their 82nd birthdays, although even then the illness of Daniel prevented a joint observance as in previous years. A small group of relatives attended a gathering honoring Martin at his home in Intercourse, and both received many cards. | |||
Surviving Daniel Kurtz in addition to Mrs. Sangrey are another daughter, Mrs. Luke Myers, and four sons, Jacob, Jason, Frank, and Daniel. He was a member of the Hershey Mennonite church, where funeral services were held on Dec. 8. | |||

Aged Kurtz Twins Separated by Death One Month After 82nd Birthday
DANIEL KURTZ OF LANCASTER CO., PA. PASSED AWAY DEC. 5
Lancaster, Pa. — The 82 year old Kurtz twins, Martin and Daniel, of Lancaster county were separated by the death of Daniel on Sunday, Dec. 5, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Landis Sangrey of Washington Boro, Pa.
Only a few weeks before, on Nov. 9, the aged brothers had observed their 82nd birthdays, although even then the illness of Daniel prevented a joint observance as in previous years.
