Israel T. Yoder was the son of Christian J. and Saloma (Zook) Yoder. He was born Nov. 10, 1854, died February 3, 1931 at his home on West Main Street, Belleville, aged 76 years, 2 months and 22 days.
He had been failing in health for the last several years. On September 14, 1930 he was stricken by a stroke of apoplexy. His right side was paralyzed and his speech was lost. He was glad, however, to see his many friends, who came to see him and tried to encourage him in the closing hours of his earthly life.
