. .” Es trauren um ihr Scheiden die Söhne Reinhold, Herman, Menno und Daniel; die Töchter Matilda, Clara und Ena; dazu 2 Schwiegertöchter, 1 Schwiegersohn, 6 Enkel, 1 Bruder, Peter Waltner; 2 Schwestern: Frau John E. Schrag und Frl. Katie Waltner; 6 Schwäger, 6 Schwägerinnen und viele Freunde. Beim Begräbnis dienten die Prediger C. E. Krehbiel und Roland Goering, und der Männerchor sang 3 Lieder. Bestattung auf dem Gemeindefriedhof.

MRS. ANDREW J. GOERING

Mrs. Andrew J. Goering (Carolina Waltner), daughter of Andreas and Katherina Stucky Waltner, was born April 23, 1877, near Moundridge, Kansas. Here she grew up and attended Bible school and also district school.

On October 4, 1891, she was baptized by the Elder Jacob Stucky, on confession of her faith, and joined the Hopefield church. On December 3, 1897, she was united in holy matrimony with Andrew J. Goering, and Thanksgiving day of 1925 they joined the Eden Mennonite church, where she remained a faithful member until death. Seven sons and three daughters were born to this union. Three sons died in infancy.

After sharing life’s joys and sorrows together for over 45 years, the husband was called to his reward on February 24, 1943.

The departed was a kind and loving mother. She enjoyed fair health until sometime after the death of her husband, when her health began to fail. On August 5, 1946, she suffered a stroke on the right side, but recovered so she could converse and be about. However, on the morning of October 5, 1946, another stroke on the left side made it impossible for her to speak. On October 8, she was called to her eternal home at the age of 69 years, five months and 15 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure the following children. Reinhold and his wife, Carrie; Matilda, Herman, Clara and Menno of the home; Eva and her husband, Nathan Klaassen; Daniel and his wife Erma; six grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, six brother-in-law, six sisters-in-law, and many relatives and friends.
