Funeral services were held on Dec. 17 at the First Mennonite Church north of Butterfield for George Fast, 82. His wife, Catherine, died in 1984. George had been a resident of the Pleasant View Nursing Home in St. James for about a month. He is survived by two sons, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother and two sisters.
