Elizabeth Claassen, 88, formerly of Newton and a retired Bethel Home for Aged employee, died Feb. 8 at Shiloh Manor in Canton. Funeral services were held Feb. 10 at First Mennonite Church, Newton, where she was a member. Verney Unruh and Lubin Jantzen officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. A native of Germany, she came to the United States in 1951. There were no immediate survivors. |
