— News of the death of her mother, who passed away May 2, at her home in Grosweide, Russia, and whom she had not seen for 24 years, was received Tuesday by Mrs. P. H. Penner, 420 Southeast Second. The mother's name was Mrs. Peter Neuman [''sic'' Neumann]. Mrs. Penner had been told in a letter from Russia that her mother was in a critical condition. Mrs. Neumann was a beautiful singer, and before the World War, her family was quite wealthy. She and her daughter last saw each other just before the Penner family left for America. — Kansan. | |||
