Retired Postal Worker Dies at Mt. Lake

Mt. Lake, Minn. — Miss Mary Bargen, 71, long-time member of the First Mennonite Church here, died in her sleep early Saturday morning, Dec. 18. Death was due to a heart condition.

Miss Bargen was a postal clerk in the Mt. Lake Post Office for 25 years, retiring in 1959. She was long active in her church, having taught in the Sunday school for about 50 years.

Survivors include one brother, Bernhard of North Newton, Kan.; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Rosella) Olson of Reno, Nev.; nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were conducted at the First Mennonite Church on Dec. 21.
