LLOYD S. HORST
Lloyd S. Horst, 97, of Dayton, Va., died Oct. 7, 2010, at Bridgewater Home, where he was a resident. He was born Aug. 16, 1913, to Reuben and Frances Sweigart Horst in Pennsylvania.
On Feb. 29, 1936, he married Alice Virginia Heatwole. She preceded him in death on Jan. 5, 1997.
He was ordained as a Mennonite minister in 1948 and as bishop in 1957.
Survivors include six children, James D. Horst and his wife, Loretta, of Weyers Cave, Amos D. Horst and his wife, Leta, of Harrisonburg, Enos H.
