&#9679; Funeral services for lifetime Newton resident Robert L. Zook, 67, wereheld on May 20 at Grace Hill Mennonite Church, rural Whitewater, with James Voth officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. A retired Hesston Corporation employee and former co-owner of the Village Restaurant, Zook died on May 17 at St. Francis Regional medical Center in Wichita. Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth Janzen; one son, James L. of Newton; one daughter, Darlene Buller of Virginia Beach, Va.; four sisters, Luella Haines of Huntington, Ind.; Evelyn Schmidt and Opal Reddick, both of Newton, and Eloise Hock of Manchester, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
