Mmeschberger died Dec. 31 at the age of 86 at the Bethel Home for the Aged.  She was a member of the deaconess sisterhood and of the First Mennonite Church of Newton.  Services were held Jan. 3 at the Sister Frieda Chapel with Albert Epp and Jim Cox officiating.  Surviving are a sister, Ada of the Bethel Home, and a brother, Silas of Sheldon, Mo.  She served in nursing care at Bethel Deaconess Hospital for many years.
