● Ralph L. Vogt, 59, of Hesston died unexpectedly early Saturday morning in Wichita, only about six hours after his marriage to Mrs. Donna Saltzman, which occurred Friday evening at Hesston. Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon at the Hesston Mennonite Church, with Rev. Richard Yordy officiating. Mr. Vogt was a lifelong resident of the Hesston area. He married Hazel Berner at Hesston in 1937, and they lived on a farm until moving to town in 1959. She died in 1971. Surviving in addition to his second wife are two sons, Larry R. of Ellinwood and Roger L. of Atwood, Colo.; a stepson, Royce Saltzman of Hesston; a step-daughter, Mrs. Steve Bauer of Goshen, Ind.; six grandchildren; three brothers, Harvey of Halstead, Paul and Willard, both of Hesston; and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Roth of Hubbard, Ore. and Mrs. Reuben Ewy of Hesston. | |||
