Baumgartner, 89, died Oct. 18 at the Bethel Home for Aged, where she had resided since 1960.  She was a retired school teacher and a former resident of Halstead.  Born in Morgan County, Missouri, she came to Halstead with her parents in 1886.  She was a member of the First Mennonite Church of Halstead, where the funeral was conducted on Oct. 21.  Dr. D. C. Wedel and Rev. Robert Suderman, the pastor, officiated. Miss Baumgartner leaves a sister, Mrs. Rachel Barnjum of El Cajon, Calif.
