DEATH FOLLOWS SERMON

Souderton, Pa. -- Alvin D. Detweiler, 70, of Souderton served as guest speaker at the Morris Mennonite Church on Sunday morning, Sept. 15, and died in the afternoon at the home of the pastor, Rev. Paul K. Benner.

Funeral services were held at the Rockhill Mennonite Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher, on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 19.

Detwiler also served as secretary of the board of the Rockhill Mennonite Homes, Inc. at Hatfield and as vice-president of the Eastern Menonite Home at Souderton. He was a partner in the Alvin D. Detweiler Company at Souderton.
