● Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Nachtigal, 92, were held May 17 at the First United Methodist Church of Halstead, with Rev. Robert D. Suderman and Rev. Cecil R. Findley officiating. Mrs. Nachtigal, a member of the Halstead First Mennonite church, died May 14 at the Halstead Nursing Center. The former Anna Dyck, she was the last surviving member of a pioneer Harvey County Mennonite family. She leaves a son, John of Halstead; one daughter, Mrs. Katherine McCue of Denver; six grand-children, 10 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Henry J. Nachtigal, died in 1961. |
