Paul Buckwalter was born on Aug. 15, 1897 at New Holland, Pa., the son of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Musselman Buckwalter. He died on Feb. 10, 1973 in Riverside Hospital, Newport News, Va.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Rolland Stiefel of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Mrs. Dean Sommers of Solern [sic Solon], Ohio; two sons, Erlis of Newport News, Va. and Rev. David Buckwalter of Smithville, Tenn.; three sisters Mrs. Martha Guengerich of Kalona, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Diener of Harrisonburg, Va., and Mrs. Dave Yoder of Upland, Calif.; four brothers, Rev. Harry Buckwalter of Upland, Calif:, Frank of Newark, Ohio, Rev. Earl Buckwalter of Hesston, Kan.; and Roy of Wellman, Iowa.
Funeral services were conducted in the Warwick River Mennonite Church by Rev. Kenneth Good and Rev. Truman Brunk, with further services at the North Lima, Ohio Mennonite Church by Rev. Richard Bartholomew, Rev. H. P. Heisey and Simon Lehrman Jr. Interment was made in Midway Cemetery, Columbiana, Ohio
