• Funeral services for Mrs. Jacob F. Tieszen, 78, of North Newton were held last Saturday forenoon at the Faith Mennonite Church. Rev. Victor Sawatzky and Rev. Jerry Griffin officiated. Mrs. Tieszen died Nov. 7 at Bethel Hospital. The former Augusta Voth, she married Mr. Tieszen in 1917, and they lived in the Walton community before moving to North Newton in 19S5. Surviving in addition to Mr. Tieszen are four sons, Charles of Newton, Milton of Denver, Walter of Wichita, and Lewis of Walton: four daughters, Mrs. Haney Wedel of Moundridge, Mrs. Herman Sanders of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. David Wheeler of Newton, and Mrs. Larry Gilchrist of Hays; four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Harms of Homestead, Fla., Mrs. Theodore Regier and Margaret Voth, both of Walton, and Mrs. Herbert Schmidt of Newton; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
