• Funeral services for Simon D. Koehn, 87, retired farmer of the Halstead community, were held Monday afternoon at Grace Mennonite Church west of Halstead. Rev. Jonas Koehn and Rev. Carl Dirks officiated. Mr. Koehn died May 4 at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge. His wife, the former Helen Unruh, died in June 1972. Surviving are six sons, Leo, Sam, Ervin and Walter, all of Halstead, Frank of Hutchinson, and Elmer of Charlottesville, Va.; four daughters, Elizabeth Jane Koehn and Mrs. Joan Armendariz. both of Halstead, Mrs. Julia Becker and Mrs. Mary Koehn, both of Galva; two brothers, Enoch of Burns and Dan L. of Halstead; a sister, Mrs. Susie Goossen of Rosenort, Man.; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grand-children.
