MRS. HENRY J. ISAAC
Margaret J. Isaac was born to John and Maggie Classen on Oct. 7, 1905. She died at the Meade, Kan. District Hospital on March 1, 1973 at the age of 67, only two years and four months later than our father.
Mother's family moved to Meade, Kan. when she was two years of age. On July 1, 1923 she was baptized on the confession of her faith and became a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church. On April 30, 1925 she married Henry J. Isaac.
In spite of failing health, mother loved to sew, quilt and make pretty things for us and for our missionaries. Gardening was also one of her favorite hobbies. Psalm 37: 5 was one of her favorite Bible verses.
With many fond memories of mother's prayers and concerns for her children and grandchildren, those who mourn her passing are: Esther and husband Eldo Wiens, Harvey and wife Ruth, and Rosalia and husband Frank Ediger, all of Meade, Erna and husband Herbert Hedstrom of Jamestown, Kan., Don and wife Irene of Meade; 14 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Reimer of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. P. J. Isaac and Mrs. Pete K. Isaac of Meade, Mrs. George Schierling of North Newton, Kan.; five brothers, John L. Classen of Hillsboro, Kan., Peter and C. L. Classen of Meade, Henry L. Classen of De Ridder, La., and George L. Classen of Minneapolis, Minn.
Preceding her in death were her husband; two sons, Levi and Harry; one sister, Mrs. J. A. Reimer, and one brother, Abe L. Classen.
