Funeral services for Mrs. Katie Martens, 83, formerly of Buhler and widow of Abraham B. Martens, were held Saturday afternoon at the Miller Funeral Home in Goessel. Rev. John Braun, pastor of the Buhler Mennonite Church, officiated. Mrs. Martens died March 21 at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel. She and her husband had entered the Bethesda Home in 1968, and he died in 1970. Surviving are a stepson, Clarence E. Martens of Buhler; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Harry Wiebe of Newton; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
