• Miss Bertha Hodel, 71, sister of Chris Hodel of Newton, died March 23 at Salem Hospital, Hillsboro. Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon at the Hillsboro M. B. Church, with Rev. Marvin Hein and Rev. Harvey Jantz in charge.
