• Jacob D. Stucky, 80, who farmed near McPherson most of his life, died Feb. 19 at the Memorial Hospital there after a brief illness. He was a member of the Hopefield Church, where the funeral was conducted Thursday afternoon. Rev. Andrew Shelly, the pastor, and Rev. Leroy Stucky officiated. Mr. Stucky’s wife, Mary, died in 1947. He leaves a son, Virgil, of McPherson; one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Mosiman, of Newton; a brother, Rudolph, of Pretty Prairie; and seven grandchildren.
