Jacob (Jake) Martens died Oct. 5, 2008. He was born
Oct. 10, 1935 to Johann J.
and Katharina Martens in
Speedwell, Sask. In 1949,
Jake moved to Elm Creek
with his family. Soon after
their arrival, Jake saved up money so he could
attend Winkler Bible Camp where he became a
Christian. In 1965, Jake married Katie (Kay) Klassen
of Elm Creek, Man. Jake was a great husband,
father, and grandfather; compassionate, loyal,
humble, generous, courteous, and thoughtful.
Predeceased by 5 siblings; Jake is mourned by
Kay; children Cherie (Garry), Randy (Deb), Steve
(Stephanie), 8 grandchildren; 5 siblings. The
memorial was Oct. 10 at Elm Creek MB Church.

Jacob (Jake) Martens died Oct. 5, 2008. He was born Oct. 10, 1935 to Johann J. and Katharina Martens in Speedwell, Sask. In 1949, Jake moved to Elm Creek with his family.
