HELEN PRIEBE

Helen Priebe died Apr. 2, 2008. She was born to Abram and Mary Willms in Kelstern, Sask. After school, she attended Moose Jaw Normal School and began her teaching career in a one-room country school. She taught in Saskatchewan, B.C.. and Alberta. She taught Sunday school, was involved with Pioneer Girls, and sang in the choir. In 1970 she married Jake Priebe, a widower, which gave her an instant family of 10 children and 13 grandchildren. She enjoyed hosting when families came to visit. Predeceased by Jake and 2 brothers, she is mourned by 4 siblings; stepchildren Dennis, Doris, Art, Al, Stan, Ken, Ruby, Maryann, John, and Garry; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grand-children. A celebration of life was held Apr. 8 at Dalhousie Community Church, Calgary, Alta.
