ELLA KLASSEN

Ella Erna Klassen died Feb. 13, 2008. She was born June 15, 1931 to John and Mary Thiessen on a rural Saskatchewan farm. The family moved several times, eventually settling in Ontario in 1938. Ella was baptized in her early teens and was very involved in youth group, where she met Hardy Klassen. They married on May 8, 1945, and Ella took business school and worked in a number of offices, mostly Schneiders. Her many hobbies included sewing and knitting, reading, gardening, and spending time outdoors and at the cottage. Hardy and Ella travelled the world, were active at Camp Crossroads, and were charter members of Glencairn MB Church, always sharing their gift of hospitality. Diagnosed with Alzheimers, Ella moved to Tabor Manor in 2004. Predeceased by Hardy; son Bruce; sister Lena; she is mourned by children Ann (Jeff) Taylor and Gord (Laurene); 5 grandchildren; 3 siblings. The memorial service was Feb. 16 at Glencairn MB Church, Kitchener, Ont.
