GEORGE G. PENNER
George Penner of St. Catharine passed away on April 18. He was born November 20, 1926 to George and Anna Penner in southern Manitoba. He was bap- tized upon confession of faith in 1954_ The family moved to Winnipeg in 1951, where he studied music. His studies continued at the Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He served as soloist at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnipeg for 12 years. On August 28, 1965 he married Edith Warkentin of Winnipeg. In 1970 the family moved to St. Catharines, where he attended a Baptist church_ He is survived by his wife Edith; two sons: Gregory and Chad at home; two brothers: Neil and Abe; two sisters: Ann and Kathy (all of Manitoba); and sister Carol of B.C. The funeral service was held April 12 in the Lakeshore Baptist church with pastor Engle officiating.
