Meade, Kan. &#8212; Funeral services for Jacob E. Loewen, 86, widely known resident of this community, were held Jan. 15 at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church, with Rev. Johnny Reimer and Rev. J. W. Fast officiating.
Mr. Loewen died Jan. 12 at Meade District Hospital.  A resident of this community since 1907, he was a retired farmer, machinist and nurseryman.  He and his brother were believed to be among the first wheat growers in the nation to own a combine.

Meade Resident Dies

Meade, Kan. — Funeral services for Jacob E. Loewen, 86, widely known resident of this community, were held Jan. 15 at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church, with Rev. Johnny Reimer and Rev. J. W. Fast officiating.
