CORNELIUS B. (NEIL) DUECK

Cornelius B. (Neil) Dueck died June 28. He was born Oct. 25, 1925 to Peter R. and Anna Dueck of Gruenfeld, Man. During WW II he was a conscientious objector. He married Betty Kroeker of Rosenort, Man. in 1951. They lived on the farm. Betty died in 1964. In 1966 he married Alice Braun. Neil studied in Winnipeg while running the dairy farm in Kleefeld. In 1969 they moved to Brandon, Man. and then Boissevain, Man. where he taught history at the collegiate. In 1980 they bought a resort in Whiteshell Provincial Park, running it until 1991. During retirement they worked in the church and travelled. Predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth, 5 brothers, 1 sister, he is mourned by Alice; daughters Clarice, Gloria, Lorraine, Brenda; son David; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. The funeral was July 4 in Steinbach (Man.) MB Church with Abe Klassen ministering.
