Elizabeth Laura (Janzen) Wiebe died June 19. She was born Nov. 11, 1914 in Chinook, Mont. The family moved to Mennon, Sask. She married Bill Wiebe Apr. 9, 1936. They moved to Abbotsford in 1944, living on a small farm. She enjoyed homemaking and offering hospitality. She worked part-time at the Abbotsford Christian Book Store and Hat Shop. She was involved in community and church, helping her husband in his responsibilities, and welcoming people to Central Heights MB Church. She was president of ladies fellowship and was in charge of the primary Sunday school department for 22 years. She hosted and taught Good News Clubs in her home. Predeceased by Bill, son Ron, 1 granddaughter, 2 brothers and 3 sisters, she is mourned by daughters Dolores Brandt of San Jose, Calif. and Elaine Allen of Dallas, Tex., 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 1 sister. The funeral was June 24 in Bakerview MB Church with Christopher Douglas ministering.
