&bull; Funeral services were held at the Whitestone Mennonite Church in Hesston on June 7 for Miss Wanda C. Schmidt, 58, who died at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge on June 4 after a long illness. The services were in charge of Rev. Marlo Graber.  Miss Schmidt taught in schools of this area for 30 years, and had been a resident of Hesston since 1944.  Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Carl Schmidt, and two sisters, Ruth Schmidt and Mrs. Willard Nitsche, all of Hesston.
