Berne, Ind. &#8212; Services for Laura Schwartz, 19, a native of Monroe township, were held on Monday, Feb. 25, at the home of a brother, Joseph U. Schwartz, four miles north of Berne.
 
Miss Schwartz, driver of a car, and the driver and passenger of a truck were killed when the two  vehicles collided head-on one mile south Avilla on Highway 3.
 
Miss Schwartz, a member of the Old Order Amish Church, was an employee of Northing Home at White Pigeon, Mich.  Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob D. Schwartz, formerly of Monroe township and now of Sugarcreek, Ohio, three brothers and two sisters.

AMISH GIRL DIES IN WRECK

Berne, Ind. — Services for Laura Schwartz, 19, a native of Monroe township, were held on Monday, Feb. 25, at the home of a brother, Joseph U. Schwartz, four miles north of Berne.

Miss Schwartz, driver of a car, and the driver and passenger of a truck were killed when the two vehicles collided head-on one mile south Avilla on Highway 3.

Miss Schwartz, a member of the Old Order Amish Church, was an employee of Northing Home at White Pigeon, Mich. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob D. Schwartz, formerly of Monroe township and now of Sugarcreek, Ohio, three brothers and two sisters.
