Newton and Vicinity

. . .

• Mrs. Verney (Belva) Unruh returned home this week from Freeman, S. D. where she had been called due to the unexpected death of her mother, Mrs. Anna L. Waltner. Memorial services were held Nov. 8 at the Salem Mennonite Church near Freeman. Mrs. Waltner was employed in the laundry at the Freeman Community Hospital, and when she failed to report for work Monday, Nov. 6, family members went to her home and found that she had died in her sleep. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Unruh are three sons, Homer, LaVerne and Don and their families, and a number of brothers and sisters.
