MARIA LOEWEN

Maria Loewen died Jan. 6. She was born July 21, 1919 in Neuendorf, Ukraine. Her mother died in 1933, and her father remarried in 1934. She came to Canada in 1948. She married Leonard Loewen Aug. 12, 1950. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. Cooking, particularly bread, buns and soup, was a specialty. She was a sports fan, listening to Canucks games on radio. She loved the Lord with all her heart and wished she could go to her heavenly home. Predeceased by Leonard July 30, 1988, she is mourned by her 4 children; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. The funeral was Jan. 11 in Clearbrook MB Church with Heinz Ratzlaff, Larry Locken and Walter Wiens ministering.
